Celaborelle is a Phonecian restaurant on the Southside of Fort Worth. Honestly, I didn't used to be a fan. There wasn't a whole lot of vegan food and I wasn't super impressed by the food that was. I just went there again pretty recently and all of that has changed. There is a TON of vegan stuff on the menu (check out the website) and everything that I've had has been really delicious.
One other huge upside to this restaurant: IT'S SUPER CHEAP! Seriously, ridiculously cheap. The Falafel Sandwich is $3, which is pretty cheap but you have to consider that it has 9 pieces of falafel on it and is fucking gigantic. If you want a sampler, try the Vegetarian Combo which is $7 but comes with 4 plates of food loaded with falafel, hummus, lentil soup, a spinach pie thing, vegetarian kibbi and a whole bunch of other stuff. Last time I went there we spent $22 and the table was literally overflowing with food. We had to take home so much. If you want some great Middle Eastern food and want to spend like no money at all, this is the place to go!

Chadra is a Mediterranean restaurant in Southside Fort Worth. They have a lot of vegetarian and vegan stuff that is clearly noted on their menu. It's a little bit of a yuppie place and it has a bar too. For being pretty inexpensive, the crowd is a little uppity. All in all it's not a bad place to eat at, but the service is a little inconsistent.
I'm gonna start with the stuff that's good. Their hummus and babaganouj is pretty good, but they have a dip called muhammara that has walnuts and roasted peppers that's really awesome. Their fries are really good too. They also have something I call the "Vegan Double Down" that's called a Mezza Burger. It's a sandwich filled with hummus, lettuce, tomatoes and turnips with a falafel bun. So no bread, just two HUGE pieces of falafel. It's only $8 and it comes with fries and it's quite a bit of food.
They also have vegan pizza with Daiya cheese. The pizzas only come in two sizes, 10" and 18" and you don't have to pay extra for up to 5 toppings. It's kind of a thin, flaky crust and it's only good about 3/4 of the time. Sometimes they don't let the cheese melt or it's just kinda weird for some reason, but most of the time it's good. We don't go to this place too often, but writing this review is kinda making me wanna go back soon!

King Tut is a really unique place for Fort Worth. It's the only Egyptian Restaurant in town and it does a great job representing the food. I've been eating here since I was a kid and it's only gotten better over the years. It's decorated about how you'd expect with a lot of Egyptian artifacts and stuff and it's a small comfortable place to eat.
There is a lot of vegan stuff to eat here. They have Veggie Shwarma, a huge dish with potatoes, bell peppers, tahini and a bunch of other stuff with your choice of rice or fries. My favorite thing here is Cosharee which is a gigantic plate piled high in layers with macaroni, lentils, rice, tomato sauce and topped off with fried onions. It sounds kinda weird but it's actually fucking delicious. For $9 you can easily feed 2-3 people. They also have really great fries and their hummus tastes like no one else's.
There's one piece of bad news with this place: the bread isn't vegan. But there are plenty of other things on the menu without bread including soups, salads and a ton of sides. If you're not vegan, you should get the Eggplant Falafel Sandwich which is actually two sandwiches for some reason.

Even though this place is a chain, I think it's good enough to review. Located in the TCU area, this place is drenched in purple and packed with frat bros and sorority girls all the time. It's really loud and always busy. We usually get take out when we eat here, but when we do it's usually not too bad.
Mellow Mushroom is pretty expensive, but it's pretty impressive. You can get any pizza vegan (Daiya cheese, no butter, no parm) and they also do vegan sandwiches. They have a crazy amount of toppings including BBQ Tofu and Tempeh. They also have pretzels that can be made vegan and hummus which is actually pretty good. Be prepared to spend $20+ on a pizza though. They charge extra for Daiya.
So if you're in the mood for splurging and packing away some vegan cheesy pizza this is the place to go, even if it's a little collegey.

Pappa Chang is a pan-Asian restaurant in the Hospital District of Fort Worth. They have a whole lot of vegan options right on the menu and will make pretty much anything vegan if you ask. Two of my favorites are Singapore - a thin rice noodle dish with a curry sauce and lots of onions and carrots and stuff- and Yaki Udon -a Japanese-style noodle dish with seaweed and mushrooms. They have great appetizers like lettuce wraps, which are pretty much a meal by themselves.
They are super quick and also offer delivery in the neighborhood. There is a lunch buffet with quite a bit of vegan stuff, including fried potatoes! They have great boba tea and smoothies that can be made with soymilk. This is a good place to go with big groups because they have something for everyone. The owners are super friendly and always remember me when I go in.

Spiral Diner is Fort Worth's only vegan restaurant. Open since 2002, Spiral won VegNews Restaurant of the Year in 2007 and gets nominated pretty much every year. This place has a shit-ton of awesome vegan food. The Nachos are fucking huge and piled high with taco meat, guacamole, cashew cheese and a ton of other great stuff. The Mitch is a tofu club sandwich that is really simple but amazing for some reason. The blue plates are usually awesome and change out every month. My favorites are the Zucchini Po' Boy and the Festivus (a Christmas-leftovers sandwich with turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and other great shit).
The desserts are also amazing. They make their own ice cream and have a rotating cast of flavors like salted caramel and cookie dough. They also have peanut butter cups, snickerdoodles, brownies, some kind of cheesecake, pie, bread pudding, cinnamon rolls and a bunch of shakes, sundaes and smoothies. They have a fridge full of vegan essentials and a small little grocery store area full of hard-to-find items. Finally, every Sunday is an all-you-can-eat pancake buffet complete with biscuits and gravy, migas and other great breakfast foods.

Terra is a really good Lebanese restaurant in the West 7th neighborhood of Fort Worth. If you're not familiar with the area, it's pretty uppity and fancy, but the food here is good enough to weather the bullshit. It's not super expensive, but you can easily rack up a big bill here if you order a whole bunch of different stuff. It's pretty much always packed and if you're coming on a weekend you'll probably have to wait for a table.
They have a lot of vegan stuff on the menu which is mostly standard Mediterranean food. The hummus and falafel are some of the best I've ever had anywhere and their rice is drenched in olive oil, which makes it awesome. The reason we usually come here is for the buffet though. It's during lunch on weekdays and it includes everything they have on the menu, but it's not cheap ($12). They have a spinach dish and mixed vegetables which are really good, and something called Zattar Bread, which is a pita bread with thyme crushed into it and it's super good. Only bummer here is that the baba ganouj isn't vegan because it has yogurt.

This is one of those places that is legendary for flying under the radar. Rasoi is an Indian restaurant located in a converted gas station in Denton near the UNT campus. It's a super small place but has plenty of seating inside and out. If you decide to eat there, there is a big screen TV playing Indian TV nonstop. They also have all the usual trappings of a convenience store, including energy drinks and candy, as well as a small Indian market where you can buy hard-to-find ingredients.
The food is great and super cheap. You can leave full for under $5, but you should splurge and get some samosas too. Their menu changes daily, but they always have plenty of vegan options. Ususally I just tell them that I'm vegan and they just load up a Styrofoam to-go box with a crazy amount of awesome food. I also always get the samosas, because how can you not? There is usually some kind of bean dish, some kind of potato dish and a few other things. It's always been amazing and this is my favorite place to go in Denton.
